Actor Akshay Kumar, who refused to host the popular show MasterChef India season 2, is now coming back on the Star Plus’ reality show, which is just a week away from its end. The Bollywood star has confirmed to be the celebrity judge on the grand finale of the current season of the show.
The grand finale of MasterChef India 2 will be held on January 1, 2012. Sources from Star Plus channel have officially announced that Akshay Kumar will be the celebrity guest-judge on the show. The actor will announce the winner’s name and hand over the prize to him or her.
Talking about the finale, Nitin Vaidya, business head for Star Network, confirmed, “It’s our pleasure that Akshay managed to take time out of his schedule for this show. We are working out a plan to ensure that we make it worth his time. This year has been extremely fruitful for the format and in turn, for us. The content has been loved and followed by many people across the country. We have no complains.”
